Instructions for creating the “1:10 Quilt” using one block and ten fat quarters

Class Description
Step into the world of color with the one and only Annie Smith—a trailblazer in quilting education and a master of color theory! In this interactive 3-hour workshop, you’ll discover the true magic of color without even threading a needle.
Color Sense is a no-sew, hands-on class that explores how to see and use color with confidence. Through visual lectures, guided demos, and creative play with your own fabric stash, Annie helps you unlock your inner color intuition. By the end of class, you’ll leave with a custom paste-up page, a starter resource binder, and a renewed sense of color clarity that will transform the way you quilt forever.
This is a No-Sew* event, divided into 3 parts:
1️⃣ Lecture & Slideshow – Color theory, trends, and fabric manufacturing
2️⃣ Live Demo – Playing with real fabric swatches
3️⃣ Hands-On Creation – Build your own value-based paste-up page
What You’ll Learn:
How to confidently choose fabrics that work beautifully together
Why certain colors and designs draw the eye—and how to apply that to your own quilts
A simple method for building your own personalized color and value library
Real-world examples and manufacturing insights that affect fabric and color choices
Supply List
Materials:
Notebook and pen
Digital camera or smartphone with camera. (Please no film cameras—you’ll want to see your photos instantly!)
Tools & Equipment:
Rotary cutter and mat board (bring a fresh blade or a backup)
6” x 12” quilting ruler – preferably OmniGrid, Olfa Frosted, or Creative Grid. (Please avoid outdated rulers with hard-to-read lines—they’ll hinder your precision.)
❌ Do NOT bring a sewing machine—this is a no-sew experience!

Cancellation Policy
One seat per customer per class (you may register for multiple classes).
Changes to class registration will incur a 10% change fee.
Cancellations 30+ days before class receive a 90% refund (receipt will show a full refund minus a 10% restocking fee).
Cancellations within 30 days of class forfeit all registration fees.
If SHE cancels the class due to low enrollment, you may choose store credit, a class transfer, or a full refund.
