Class Description:
Brighten up your space with this joyful Watermelon and Sunflowers wool project! In this creative class, you’ll learn how to beautifully apply wool pieces to a background and use decorative stitching to bring your work to life.
Some petals will be stitched only at the center for a playful 3D effect, adding dimension and charm to your wall hanging or table topper. You'll explore a variety of hand embroidery techniques, from simple stitches to creative embellishments—all while working with richly dyed, high-quality wool.
In this class, you’ll:
Learn proper techniques for fusing and stitching wool appliqué
Master a variety of decorative hand stitches
Create dimensional sunflowers using clever 3D methods
Add a scalloped edge for a sweet, finished touch
Perfect for anyone who loves wool, stitching, and making cheerful seasonal décor. This is a relaxing, satisfying project—and you’ll leave with skills to take into your next wool creation!
Fabric & Supply Requirements for Class
Bring the following to class:
Basic sewing supplies (BSK)
Needles for hand embroidery
Small sharp scissors
Pins
Threads to match wool (Valdani, Aurifil, or DMC suggested)
Cancellation Policy
One seat per customer per class (you may register for multiple classes).
Changes to class registration will incur a 10% change fee.
Cancellations 30+ days before class receive a 90% refund (receipt will show a full refund minus a 10% restocking fee).
Cancellations within 30 days of class forfeit all registration fees.
If SHE cancels the class due to low enrollment, you may choose store credit, a class transfer, or a full refund.
